Jennifer Lopez Reduces Southern California Home

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez is reducing the price of her Southern California home, which comes with a dance studio/gym and a recording studio, nearly 15% to $14.5 million, according to people with knowledge of the listing.
The home is now listing with Brett Lawyer of Hilton & Hyland. Earlier this year Ms. Lopez sought $17 million for the property with Matthew Gaskill and Alisa Peterson of Sotheby’s International Realty, though the home wasn’t put on the multiple-listing service. She took it off the market in late July.

The performer and mother of two paid $8.2 million for the property in 2010, according to public records. She then remodeled it, according to people familiar with the property.

Located on about 3 acres in Hidden Hills, which is roughly 30 miles outside Los Angeles, the nine-bedroom home measures approximately 17,000 square feet. With views of the city and surrounding mountains, the traditional-style home has a dining room that seats 12 and a master suite with a private terrace. An entertainment wing contains the recording studio and gym as well as a dressing room, full-service bar, 20-seat theater and guest suite. Outside there is a swimming pool and spa.
Ms. Lopez is currently a judge on “American Idol” and will star in the upcoming television series “Shades of Blue.” In January she will begin performing at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
